Re: please, help me to identify
I'm on the road and therefore not in a position to figure out the exact connection here, but there is a 1904 patent for a beautiful hand mirror that has the assignor Kerr & Thiery a New Jersey and New York copartnership. The patent number is D0036871.

Thank you for the fast answer ! ***
Re: please, help me to identify
Concerning the 1904 Kerr & Thiery New Jersey and New York copartnership, from what I have been able to find, William Barclay Kerr and Paul Louis V Thiery were partners from the 1880's through at least 1904. 1904 is the only year that I find documented mention of the Kerr & Thiery partnership. Wm B Kerr's father whose name was William is listed as a Scottish born coachman in the 1860 census in Castelton, New York. Paul L V Thiery's father was a French born engraver.
William B Kerr was born in 1854 and Paul L V Thiery was born in 1859, so they were obviously to young to have been involved in a partnership dating from the 1850's.
My guess is that Wm B Kerr's birth year and the Kerr & Thiery partnership year have been confused, but I will happily accept a correction. At the very least, there was an earlier and later partnership.
There may be more to this story, but for now this is all the documented information that I have.

Re: please, help me to identify
Just came across a google snippet view of Kerr & Thiery at Orange and High Sts, Newark in the New Jersey. Bureau of Statistics and Records - 1906, so there is more to the story.
Re: please, help me to identify
I have to correct myself; 1891 is the first I see of Kerr and Thiery together in Newark. At that time, they are listed as William B Kerr & Co manufacturing jewelers.
