JFK Necklace

Post by secondsout »

I have a 2 gram .999 pure silver necklace with JFK on one side and a mint number 02743 on the other. Does anyone know who or where thic silver was minted and what year?

It appears to be a reworking of the J.F.K. silver ingot from a set of "The Presidents" issued by the Franklin Mint (if my memory has not gone walk-about), though it is missing their maker's mark. They were issued in a series that included all the U.S. Presidents through 1978 I believe. They did not include the suspention loop as yours does, but instead fitted into the "free" display case the subscriber recieved when they bought the entire set.
