Jensen acorn carving set knockoff?

Post by tr888 »

I don't see any maker's mark on this carving set which resembles the Jensen Acorn pattern in a number of respects, though not all.

Were imitation pieces made?

»Free loaders«, »Parasites« or »Counterfeiter« are being always near!

Hello »tr888«

»Free loaders«, »Parasites« or »Counterfeiter« are being always near, where some body is a leader or has success in the market.

I don't know when and where this (not human's only) behaviour has start.

Today being guilty of »Copyright infringement« is already the case, if a "normal" person has »on first view« the impression of »similarity« - as you’ve now too, to “see” the Georg Jensen »Acorn« pattern.

For that reason these »thieves« like to remain »unknown« - as in yours case too.

The handle of yours carving set are maybe only »Plated« too?

Kind regards silverport

A very clear nod to Jensen's Acorn (with definite differences on examination), but your carving set is by the American company International Silver, Royal Danish, introduced in 1939. Not uncommon on hollow handles that maker's marks are missing or so lightly struck that they may obscured.
