Cream and Sugar Set ID?

Post by cooljjay »

I just picked this up at a tag sale, it is a sugar and creamer set. The price was very little so I got them to do a little more research. I thought I remember seeing some where that pieces were marked 923. I am not sure what category to post this under. My questions are simple, Is it silver? and who is the maker? I think thats its a fake made to make the unassuming buyer think it is 925/sterling. Any info would help, and feel free to move the thread to the proper place.

Hello.

That is a silverplate mark that was used by the Knickerbocker Silver Company.
The 923 is a catalog or pattern number.

Thanks much, I looked at the K makers and for some reason didn't notice the maker.
