Help needed,please

I am not really good when it comes to jewelry and i would really appreciate if someone could help. I have some earrings and pendant i inherited from my grandparents. I heard two different stories about that jewelry. One was from my grandfather who told me he bring it with him from Germany sometime before WW2. Other story i heard from my grandmother who told me that it is a part of family jewelry for a long time. They also told me it is a ruby on those earrings and pendant. It would be really important to me to know at least were it was made and at what time. I have no one to ask about that anymore because everyone from that side of my family is dead and finding out some details about that jewelry,for me,is like discovering some new part of myself and my own history. I was taking that jewelry to some specialist (it is hard to find them in Balkan) but i heard two different stories again. One told me it is a hand made and very old,very good made,with a ruby (didn't knew was it synthetic or natural) and other told me it is maybe just some 50 or 60 years old and with glass in it. I don't really care how much they worth,i am just trying to find where they were made and when.





I couldn't make a clean picture of marks on the earrings but there is also 14 and one more mark that looks like letter J with straight line above it.



P.S One of the guys i ask to see the pendant did me a "favor" and he polished it,without asking me.
