Silver letter Rack - Have you heard of Topazio casquinna ??

Hi,

I have a nice silver letter rack quite ornate.

It has, which i assume is a makers mark?. 'TOPAZIO CASQUINNA' forming part of the hall mark, with a T and a pointed fairy tale like crown and a large D.

Any ideas on country of origin and who this maker is please ??

It is Portuguese. Apparently the hallmark was in use from 1938 - 1985. Hopefully someone can give you more information!

Hi, thanks very much for your response. This is proving a tough one to find out more about ! especially which year the letter D corresponds to as i believe the letter dating system differs from assay office to assay office, let alone country !
