Hello,
let me first say how much I appreciate this forum - such a wealth of generously shared knowledge!
I would appreciate some help identifying a hallmark on a place card holder which I just acquired, I hope I will manage to enclose the picture properly this time :-)
the card holder is 4.5cm length measured at the base and 3,5cm high. There are some Arab ? letters and "1260B" underneath them.
I doubt whether it is solid silver, possibly plated?

thank you for your help!

Hallmark ID please - Middle East?
Re: Hallmark ID please - Middle East?
Hi,
It looks more Far-Eastern to me. The writing does not appear to be Thai, Burmese, Vietnamese or Cambodien according to this site:
http://www.omniglot.com/writing/index.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
But if you have the time and patience, I'm sure the answer to the country of origin may be found by trawlling through that website.
