Edinburgh silver intials TE
Can anyone identify the maker of this silver? The initials are T.E, and I believe are from Edinburgh. Thanks.

The Edinburgh Assay office website (incorporationofgoldsmiths) shows 'T.E' to be Thomas Kerr Ebbutt an Edinburgh silversmith who registered this mark in 1903. He died in 1921 but the company TK Ebbutt Ltd was still registering marks up to 1996. There are pages of company history recorded.
Your photo is blurred I cannot read the date letter, but the shape of the outline to the date letter is the table from 1906 to 1931. If you can read the date lettter, the tables of Edinburgh date letters are listed on this website.

Yep the date character is a V that corresponds to the year 1927. Thanks for the help.
