This set of marks looks suitably old and worn to me - but I have little experience of Ovchinnikov. What do the experts think?

Show the whole object please. Identifying only a mark is difficult without seeing the object where it is. It is not only a question of one single mark but also, on what object, where is it marked, are there other marks, what marks, where are they etc., etc..
A signal to be careful is when I see the assayer's initials B.C. I many books it is stated that they belong to Victor Savinkov. The problem only is that such an assayer's existence has not been verified. He is a most dubious person. This "problem" has caused that "BC" is often seen on suspect, not to say spurious, objects. There is three assayers known to have used BC with minor variations. One of them fits the year 1888.
Now kindly answer my questions and show some more photos in order to continue the discussion.
Thank you.

Hi Frontfloater -
on the shown mark, the original maker´s stamp is overstruck by the "Ovtschinnikov" - pseudo stamp. The original Ovtschinnikov stamp was never so close to the assay marks.
For better understanding I show an authentic stamp - see placement.
