Unknown marks on large dish

Post by quoti »

Hello,
If anyone can offer any information this large bowl, I would be very grateful! I do not know anything about it, and I cannot read the inscription, though it possibly is in Romanian. The only marks on it are in the third picture. Thank you in advance!

It is a little shy of 9" by 12":

This inscription is in the very center, and that bottom number is "1720":

These are the only marks:

Thanks again!

Thank you---those are the small marks, indeed, just in a different order. But it is still a mystery: that person is as stumped as myself. If anyone can offer any clues, particularly in reading the inscription, I would so greatly appreciate it.

Hello.

I enhanced the picture of the marks from the other thread.

I don't know what they are either, but I have a piece with similar marks...

Hi,

The marks and the inscription do not match. The inscription looks old, the marks are modern. Maybe a modern copy of an old museum piece?
