What-is-it question CLXXIX.

Post by 2209patrick »

Another item from my reprint of an 1894 Pairpoint catalog.
Piece is roughly twice the size as shown in picture.

CLUE: A very early "What-is-it question" showed fancier versions of this item.

Is it a S---- P---? I don't want to be a hog and answer all of the questions.

No problem Chase33.

It is two words, but neither begins with a S or P.

CLUE: This item has nothing to do with food.

Ok I thought it was a sugar pail but now that there is no food involved, would it be an ash receptacle?

No, not an ash receptacle.

These were mostly made in the U.S.

Yes, but back then it was called a jewelry casket.

Here's the early thread I mentioned before.
