hi mike thanks for getting in touch its a silver tray all thats on back is 4 boxes with in each is p s l then picture i think is queens head then underneath says sheffield england i have tried to take picture but cant c it at all im just wondering wether its silver or plated its 10 inch x 10 inch very leafy pattern on front with patterened straight edges but round as well would love it it you could help but understand if by discription you cant thanks linda

Sorry to disappoint you, but these marks don't sound like sterling silver. If it were I would expect to find a lion, a crown and a letter, all in different stamps. So I guess it is silver-plate.
