Hello-
Have a spoon from London which believe is c.1721. I am looking for help with the maker. The mark looks familiar to me. It is an IM with small circles above it with a star below. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Pauline

Hi Pauline,
That is the mark of John Millington (Grimwade 1500).
His first mark was entered on the 22nd September 1718, second mark 23rd June 1720 (your example, and the first for the sterling standard), and his third, on the 18th June 1728.
