I recently came across this cup for a couple of dollars. From some internet searching I can tell that it is made by Zilverfabriek Voorschoten in 1925. Does anyone know anymore about this person? I can not find any other cups from this time frame or of this style. I found one post where a person had a fork and a spoon with the same markings. It is hard to see in the picture but the lion has a 2 under him and the head has a C on it.

Re: Dutch Cup
Thank you Oel. That answered my question as to who Zilverfabriek Voorschoten is, I was thinking it was an actual person. Any thoughts on what kind of cup this may be? Maybe a kids cup, a wine cup or maybe a toiletry cup? It stands 4" tall and 2 3/4" across the top.
Re: Dutch Cup
Normandon,
These cups were presented to celebrate or remember dates of birth, as communion cups. Or silver mint Julep cups. The mint julep is a mixed alcoholic drink, or cocktail associated with the cuisine of the Southern United States. I prefer silver Mojito, Brandy smash or Kremlin Colonel Cup. However if you prefer the cup also could be used as a chalice during ceremonial drinks. It is up to you but please have the cup cleaned and a little bit polished.
Cheers,
Oel
