I found these spoons tossed in with a group of junk spoons at a local antiques place a few years ago.
They have remained a mystery until I found this board.
I think these were made by one of the three Yates in the 1800s, but nothing I have been able to find explains
the eagle and the WAR hallmarks.

Yates Hallmark and WAR - Please Help
Re: Yates Hallmark and WAR - Please Help
I am not sure why I am having problems with the pictures. They are only 3 x 2.25 which
fits within the 7 in limit posted in the guidelines.
Anyway, if you can please help me with these spoons I would appreciate it.
I think they may be from the son in the Yates family around the early 1800s. I know there
were three, and I think this is from the son of the original Yates.
Then again, I am a beginner and could be completely off base.
