Unusual marks on silver caddy spoon

Post by stoo »

I have recently bought a silver caddy spoon.
I am interested in the marks and if they are genuine.

It has two sets of marks...
British import marks for 1924 (I think), and some other marks that I cannot identify.

Can anybody hellp me with this spoon. I think it is a modern copy of an older design with bogus European marks, possibly German.
Form the photos in the links below, can anybody give an indication of what they are?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Stoo,

London import mark, date letter K for 1925. The importer I.S for;Israel Segalov registered in 1919 as Jeweler, Black Lion Yard London.
Yes you are right 4 ‘French’ bogus marks and perhaps Hanau style.

Thanks Oel. As always, very much appreciated. You have confirmed my suspicions.
