Hi I have a ring, which was sold to me as ox bone. It is marked on the inside with SILVER and then has other markings though I can't make out what they are. Is there anyone who knows anything about this type of ring? Or how I may clean the inside to possibly see the marks without messing up the bone? And how to tell if this is really ox bone?
Thank you.

Re: Help with marks on ring
Items marked Silver are usually from China and are often less than 925/sterling.
Re: Help with marks on ring
Thanks for the info.
I am still a bit uncertain as I know there is markings on here I just can't read them. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't question it being Chinese. I am posting another pic just in case.
Although you may be 100% right that it is some ring from China.

Re: Help with marks on ring
Just an update, I have lightly cleaned where the other stamps on the ring are at it reads. A J S with each letter in its own box stamp. NO other markings on the ring besides the Silver stamped on this. Any ideas, or is this modern and made in china? Thanks.
