Hi, I purchased this gold brooch but would really like to know what the hallmarks are on the reverse? I know the 585 is European for 14k, but I cannot identify the rest. I photographed the hallmark twice, rotated one of the images to that all the marks are readable and there is also a tiny hallmark on the pin. Thank you, I truly appreciate your help.

Re: Austrian? Hallmark on Gold Brooch
Hi lavenderhoney,
the left hallmark on the second photo is the "bearhead".
It was used for 14 kt gold, made in Austria 02.May 1922 to 02.August 1925.
The "4" on the left side of the head means gold no.4 = 585/1000 or 14 kt,
the "W" on the right side of the head is the city mark for Vienna.

Thank you so much for your help, I truly appreciate the information. I purchased this brooch as 14k vintage, so I am glad to know that it dates to the 20's era. Thank you again!
