Visiuc - Made in Spain

Post by wyopickin »

My mother's sister taught in Spain some 35-40 years ago. Mom asked her to get her some silver service. She gave her a 13 piece set with a punch bowl. The punch bowl says "Visuc Made in Spain" but the small punch goblets say "Visiuc, SL Made in Spain." I've never heard of Visiuc before. Does anyone know anything about the company and is the "S.L." an indication of silver vs. silverplate? Thanks for any assistance. I can't seem to figure out how to post the images. Regrets.

I think the "S.L." means Sociedades de Responsabilidad Limitada which apparently is a limited liability company. Your pieces may be pewter.

Thanks Silverly. I guess the only thing that confuses me is that the punch bowl with the set doesn't have the "S.L." But that could just mean it was made a different year. Thanks again!
