This is a little silver Stanhope in the form of a fish taking a piece of bait.
Its body is made of eight seperate pieces. The picture itself is a girl kneeling beside her bed and the Lord's prayer beside her.
There is a tiny mark stamped on the tail, which I have magnified vastly; it looks like a lizard perhaps.
I'd like to know where it came from if possible.

Thanks for your help Mike; I didn't see anything similar in the French hallmarks page.
I'll try and post a better picture this afternoon, but the mark is only 1mm long so its rather tricky.
Do you think its more likely to be a maker's mark or a standard mark?
