Here's a heavy silver box with islamic script that shows it was made in Omdurman (The Sudan) in 1936.
There is a tiny stamp on the catch and I have no idea about it.
If anyone has any idea's I'd appreciate it.
As, to my knowledge, there has never been a system of hallmarking in the Sudan, I can only guess the mark can be one of only two things, it's either a maker's mark, or possibly the import mark of another country.
