Zurita Candlesticks

Post by aversa »

I have a pair of candlesticks marked 925 and ZURITA... I have searched, but cannot find any info on who Zurita is. Any help would be appreciated

I've seen C. Zurita pieces marked Mexico D.F. ( Mexico City) and Taxco.
Between about 1948 and 1980 Mexico used the Eagle mark system. C. Zurita was registered with the #1 Eagle mark (along with a lot of other silver manufacturers). Since your piece does not have an Eagle mark it probably dates to between 1900 and 1948. Don't know about the history of the company.
