Post by pshe »

Dear Sirs,

Probably someone can identify this Norwegian mark:
master's name: E.C.K.
silver 925

Thank you in advance!

I have seen the ECK mark next to David Anderson's c1888-1925 mark. Sorry, don't know who ECK is, probably a designer.

ECK may also be the retailer, the set appears to be the original fitted case, can you transcribe the text written in the box lining?

Interesting. For clarification, do your spoons also have the David Andersen "hammer and tongs" mark, or just the ECK? also, are they marked with British import marks?
Thanks, Tom

I wonder if that's an early logo for George Edward & Sons of London and Glasgow.
