Help with marks on dutch bowl

Post by groningberg »

Hello
Not been on for a few years. Normally I can sort it out myself wih books and the internet. However I dont really know what I have here?
D is a date letter???
XXs are linked to Amsterdam mark...now I am guessing?
Lion is some purity mark?
other mark is a makers mark?
Or they are all just spurious marks!!
Either way I like the bowl :)

any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in anticipation.

Hi,

More or less could make your link work and if there are no other marks hidden, you draw the right conclusion; pseudo marks or spurious marks. No official Dutch hallmarks and/or maker’s mark visible.

Oel.
