Makers marks
Hi I have a vase which has no makers mark. It is stamped as Chester with the Lion, The Chester shield and a Date letter but no makers mark. What does this mean if anthing. I can't be certain about the date It is probably 1919 but may be earlier. It is also stamped with a number which is preceded by what looks like Rd so the number reads Rd595783 Any thoughts welcome Thank you Gavin Turner

Re: Makers marks
Yes, it's 1919. The design registration number 595783 was issued in 1912.

Re: Makers marks
Probably no significance at all. Maybe it was forgotten, maybe just stamped so lightly that it's been polished away. If you post a picture of the whole vase somebody might be able to attribute it to a particular maker.
