Dear Hose_dk!
First of all thank you very much for your guess, and for your interesting.
If you mean Raab as the hungarian city Györ, I have to say, it's confident that can't be.
Checked already in the "Magyarországi ötvösjegyek a középkortól 1867-ig/Merkzeichen der Goldschmiede Ungarns vom Mittelalter biz 1867", and in the "Győri Ötvösség I-II-III". The silversmith of Raab/Győr is very well seeked piece of the hungarian silversmith. I have seen a lot of time, and I have around 25 various photos about the mark of Győr..
Here you can see a very good example from 1840. (But this is not my picture)

If you mean Raab, as the hungarian silversmith dinasty, I think this is unlikely too.
In the 80' s was a study in the "Művészettörténeti értesÃtÅ‘" about the family.
One of the member of the family was Christian Raab, in Raab/Győr. Maybe he is the most known.
He borned and learned in Lőcse, and when became master, worked in Győr. We know 14 various maker's mark from him, but all of them is dissimilar.
Ignatius Raab learned at the brother of his father, Christian. Then he worked in Esztergom/Gran. The mark of the Guild of Esztergom is very similar too, like that mark, it shows a castle with 4 tower. I was lucky, yesterday I bought a small spoon, made by him in 1843.
The 3. member of the family is the most mysterious for us.
As we know, he worked in LÅ‘cse, But we doesn't know any items made by him. But the mark of LÅ‘cse is very different too..
Last but not least we know a Matthias Raab in Miskolc.
About him we know nothing, but his monogram is so different like my little laddle's maker.
That's all about Raabs.. :)
Sorry for the long and boring speech, but as I mentioned I checked all the hungarian source that I know.
And I don't find any similar mark either maker's mark.
So I hope, my mark in the post is not hungarian, or someone have some knew source.
Thank you for your patience, and regards!
