mystery hallmark
Attaching an image of the mark on my beautiful pierced ladle. The patent is Dec. 15, 1902 and it also has "L. Jansen" written there. Those 2 pieces of info aren't as legible in this jpg but the pictorial hallmark is pretty clear. I'm stumped! Can someone help? Thanks in advance.

Hi ~ The patent date should be 'Dec. 16, 1902', which appears on R&B's La Perle pattern, introduced that year, designed by Charles A. Bennett (patent #D36169); the retailer was most likely Leopold Jansen of New Orleans, LA.
