Dutch silver needle case
Hi any information appreciated with this somewhat battered needle case. I think it may be Dutch C18. Three hallmarks have been squashed onto the base of the case - there appears to be the three Andreas crosses for Amsterdam but the rest is a mystery. Possibly and A or a K for a date letter and some other mark. Hoping someone will recognise these - regards Frank

The three Andreas crosses crowned. Amsterdam, 2nd standard of silver or ‘kleine keur’ for 833 fineness, small work (below 30 grams), no date letter, looking at the city mark made around 1703.
Makers' mark malformed, I believe it to be a (Valk-Falcon) for; Claes Valck, registered in Amsterdam 1690-1722. Claes was born in 1669, married Anna Ruwarts in 1691 and living at 'de Boomstraat' in Amsterdam, Claes died in 1722. Claes has been a small worker.

I must admit I didn't expect it to be quite so early - it's the only piece of silver I have that's over 300 years old.
