Hi -
I recently acquired this piece from a client and was trying to track down more information on it.
I believe from my research it falls into the following category...
Russian silver-gilt and cloisonne enamel kovsh dish and spoon.
It's approximately 10 inches in length from the end of the handle to the outer edge of the bowl and I was told it was used to serve braga.
I'm hoping it's authentic.
If anyone can help me out with the makers mark , it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
-Steve

A better/bigger close up of the marks on the kovsh wold be appreciated. The marks you show is from the spoon only. Crop the picture to the marks only and enlarge it. As for now the marks seem to show assayer Ivan Lebedkin 1898-1908(1914) in Moscow but the maker MC (Cyrillic MS) is a bit strange. It could be Maria Sokolova but her mark has a rectangular, not oval shield.........I have some reservations....Let's wait for some other opinions...
