Asian silver teapot, help needed with hallmarks.

Post by niceguy1 »

HELLO

I have this Asian teapot which has a dragon mouth.

It's marked 90 W. H. & Asian characters. what do these mean?

Good quality work, it measures 7 inches tall.

THANKS IN ADVANCE

THANKS TREV

From this post it would seem he is quite a scarce maker, is that correct?

I really don't know too much about Hone Wo, but his working period was a long one, and a Google search throws up quite a few examples of his work. What I would say, is that his work does appear to be of an excellent quality.

Hopefully another member can tell us more.

IF the Chinese mark is "昊和", the Cantonese sounds like "Hone Wo"
