Does anyone recognize this mark?

Post by byroncard »

Hello Forum,

My mom pulled out some flatware. I can't find an identical looking Mark on the internet. It looks like Moon/Crown/800/Skunk? I believe the moon and crown mean it's German so I am posting it here. 800 is in reference to the silver quality. What is the skunk? Here are some pics. It is my first post so go easy. Not sure I did the pictures right but at least I read the tutorial. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the quick response. So is there no way to narrow down the time-frame? or is all we know is that it is after 1870?

Hopefully one of our German members can add some further information.

Hello, don't know the pattern, but the style suggests a date of production from the 1930ies onwards. Best wishes, Bahner
