A Strange Maker

Post by pawnncash »

Hello
It looks like my silver vase can be relative to this topic.
I believe it could be Birmingham but I really can't find any evidence (except anchor but it's inside the circle)....

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

Not Birmingham, but Warsaw.

I believe that is the mark of Karol Filip Malcz. Working period 1827-1864.

Dognose "believe" is absolutely correct. The anchor is Malcz trademark. Very typical marking for Polish/Warsaw goldsmiths. In addition, I would not mind if you show some sharper and closer/bigger close-ups of the two other marks.
