Can anyone help date and ID the maker on this small dish? It has the axe mark for old silver broght back into circulation between 1853 and 1927.

Re: small Dutch dish
Many thanks Trev, is the axe mark indicative of it being sold on the Dutch market?

Re: small Dutch dish
Hi Iain,
It is not a Dutch hatchet (axe) but a Hanau axe or psuedo (fake) mark.Could also be a crescent moon and crown for silver Germany (upside down).
For the Dutch hatchet see: http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=32028
