Is this a Cartier hallmark?

Post by dwma »

I have a sterling baby cup, marked STERLING and a C-hallmark.
This item was sold through Cartier -- identical items on eBay are also marked CARTIER.
My question is, is the C-hallmark a Cartier hallmark, or is it simply the hallmark of the silversmith who made the cup (coincidentally also starting with "C")?

No, it is a mark of the Thomae Co. Attleboro, Mass.
