Mexican earings mark help

I have this pair of earings that appear to be Mexican in origin, they test as silver and have the feel of Mexican silver but I'm unable to find the marks anywhere. there is one area of the center mark that appears to read "pat" followed by a number? They have an older style to them (pre 40's) but who knows. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
