W. King & Co. was the partnership of Winifred King and Mildred Murphy, they appear to have come together in the early 1920's and continued to the late 1930's at least. Along with other silversmiths, such as Mabel A. Camwell, Una Elaine Munns, May M. Hutchins, Bernard Instone, and Bernard Cuzner, they exhibited their work several times at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists Exhibitions.

The Falmouth silversmiths, Gladys and Charles Mumford, who originated from Statford-upon-Avon, worked for W. King & Co. before their move to Cornwell.

W. King & Co. entered their marks with the Birmingham Assay Office.
