Hello All,
I'm trying to find the Maker and approx Date of this nice Apostle teaspoon and tong set. I've been onto Selezione and cannot find a similar one I hope it's clear enough but it read's - A1 in a horizontal oval, then what I'd call a georgian cross in a rhombus then EPNS in individual squares, then F.W in a shield.
Any thoughts gratefully appreciated, Nicky

Hello again Nicky. I believe you have another British silverplate mark there. This one seems to have a lot of people stumped.
I think that's the silverplate mark of F. Webb, Birmingham, England (1887-1934). Again, I'm not 100% sure of this, so you might want to do some more checking around.
Best wishes,
Pat.

Pat to the rescue again ! Hello.
I'd been everywhere looking for this and you're right no one has it listed that I could find. I do try not to post unless I'm really stumped so I must be learning something !
I'd sort of figured out a date of around 1920 ish so that sounds about right - how does that date sound to you?
Right off to do some digging. I'll post what I find.
Many, many thanks once again, Nicky

Hi Pat,
Thanks for that, perhaps in that case I should leave any reference to a date out !! Can't find much about F. Webb. P. Webb and Mappin & Webb (of course) but unfortunately I don't think there's any link !
Never mind I'll keep looking someone somewhere is bound to have written them up.
Thanks again, Nicky
