Unidentified EPBM marks

Post by awallin01 »

So the piece has EPBM marked on it and made in England, It has a number 1675 which must be the serial number(maybe wrong choice of words). Then it has five symbols The fisrt being an old A then two I can't recognise then a turtle?-may not be lol then an old s. It looks like it might be Arthur.E.Furniss But i'm unsure as there are a few diferences. Any help would be much appreciated.

Yes, it looks very much like the Arthur E Furniss mark illustrated elsewhere on this site at http://www.925-1000.com/silverplate__Init_A.html. Note that marks tended to evolve over time so there may well be minor differences - although in this case I can't really see any.
