I have a number of sterling silver flatware pieces of my grandmother's and greatgrandmother's. I have looked all day on the internet in trying to identify the mark on the back and can't find it. I think it says 'RYRIE' Sterling. Can anyone help? I am sorry the pictures are not that clear. When I tried to take a closer shot it was just plain blurry.

hi there,
here ya go!!
Ryrie Bros.
Toronto Ontario, Canada
Started in 1879, incorporated in 1897. In 1905 They joined the Birks Family of companies. Between 1914-1924, the firm marked its products Ryrie-Birks. After that it was all marked Birks.
Ryrie Bros. appears to have been a retail firm which marketed goods manufactured for them by others. (All info courtesy of Dorothy Rainwaters encyclopedia)
Hope that helps! Mike
