Large George III spoon, pre-1805?

Post by aazul3 »

Hello all!

Sorry for the two items in one post, post earlier.

The larger spoon (20 cm - what kind of spoon would this be?), I think, is older (judging from the design). The marks, unfortunately, have been almost lost (I can only clearly make out the Lion passant and Geroge III tax marks). You can still see where the other marks were, and the mark on the very left (next to George III) looks to be the date stamp.

Judging from what silvermarks so noted in my other post, the spoon is pre 1805? (marks are horizontal).

Any help would be greatly appreciated in further identifying this last spoon.

The lion passant looks provincial to me, maybe Exeter?
