Birmingham - 1915 - Unidentified Maker Mark

A new contribution to the British Hallmarks library/references follows.

These photos are of a sterling silver coin purse with chain & leather internals intact.

It was definitely made in Birmingham in 1915, but I’m unsure of the maker.

The maker mark is worn but appears to be ‘K&H’ in three circles.

Unfortunately, to-date, I have not found any reference anywhere to makers ‘K&H’.

I see it as 'E.J.H'. - which is the mark of EJ Houlston.

I'm so sorry - this is the first time I've revisited this thread since posting images of my silver purse/bag - and I just saw your reply post today.

It was so very thoughtful of you to share your knowledge of the Birmingham silver marker mark;

I can see now that the mark was less likely K & H - and most likely E.J.H., before time and use worn it down.

There was no way I would have picked that up, without you.

A big thank you also to Trev (again) for his wonderful timeliness in acknowledging your contribution, and for providing me a link to additional info. (Trev, you do fantastic work here... just wanted to acknowledge everything you do that benefits others :-) )

I haven't been back to this site for a while and I can't believe that I've just found out 3 out of 4 of my puzzles have been solved in the interim - wow!
