Your second photo is not in focus.
You need to have a strong indirect lighting a sheet or something in between the light source and the object, macro setting on your lens, and put the edge of a piece of paper next to the mark if you can't get the camera to focus.
If you don't supply a photo of the object, then someone who does not recognize the marks immediately cannot look in the right book. There are usually considerable difference in styles from country to country. So photos of the object would be helpful.
