13 loth beaker with Cyrillic (?) letter maker mark

Post by Joerg »

Dear forum members
I bought this beaker from a small internet platform. The engraving is German, “Neujahr 1876” — New year 1876. It has a 13 loth mark and a maker mark OГ ??. I have seen on my pictures the Г looks like an F, but I checked with the magnifying glass, the — of the F is just a discoloration. The marks are very small.
Where could this beaker come from? Any guess is welcome.
Thank you
Jörg

I didn't receive a reply yet. This could indicate that 13 loth standard with Cyrillic makers mark does not exist. So back to field 1.
I checked the makers mark again. It is possible that the "Г" is an "F" with the hyphen broken off. We learned on other posts that marks continued to be used even damaged or worn down.
So, if the makers mark is "OF" or "DF", any idea then?

Any guess is welcome.

Thank you

Jörg

I think this isn't Cyrillic. I believe this is German. Perhaps the maker is Diederich Floercken III from Bremen
(early 19th century) - very similar mark.
Best regards. Alex.

As a coincidence, I came across this napkin ring. It has the same make of mechanical decoration and the same makers mark. It is DF. It is possible that Ubaranda is right, D. Floercken from Bremen.
Here the hyphen is not broken off, but weak, worn.
Kind regards
Jörg
