Re: Dutch silver mark Amsterdam

Hi,

Welcome to the forum,

The first two images of the sugar caster are clear; the other four images of the marks are very bad. Please try to make clear images of al the marks, taken up front without angle.
The ‘RD above shield, between two dots ‘is a pseudo/fake city mark of Zwolle, the other marks are pseudo/fake marks to; pseudo city mark of Amsterdam, the "L with dot” pseudo year letter city of Zwolle for 1798. Please check your object for authentic Dutch hallmarks and maker’s mark. The pseudo/fake marks are put on to pretend the sugar caster could have been made in the 18th century but most likely the sugar castor is made late 19th —early 20th century.
