Re: Information Regarding Oneida Community Ltd.
Community Plate dealers are enthusiastic over the display and sales possibilities of a new table of early-American design now being offered by Oneida Community, Ltd.. and housing 140 pieces of Community Plate in any of six different patterns. Done in inlaid mahogany, this table is an authentic reproduction of a much-admired Colonia! masterpiece in the recently opened American Wing of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The unusual beauty of the table with its quaint, dignified simplicity, gives to this unit real value as an attention getter for the dealer. Although small and compact, it has generous drawer space, and a clever extension feature allows the unit to be used as a service table in the home, if desired. The table is not sold separately. Intended primarily as an effective sales-producing display medium for the dealer, it nevertheless has a strong consumer appeal also, and dealers are reporting many sales: they find it particularly valuable as a means of stimulating interest in the Paul Revere, Community’s new early-American pattern, with which it harmonizes especially well. This latter design, one of the most beautiful Community Plate designs ever introduced, is a fitting tribute to the most famous silversmith of Colonial times. The Paul Revere pattern may be had in both flatware and hollowware. The delicate ornamentation of this pattern, thoroughly in keeping with the spirit of pre-Revolutionary days, has been much admired wherever it has been shown.

Several executives of the Oneida Community, Ltd., have been visiting the Philadelphia district headquarters, in charge of F. W. Whitman, recently. Among them were O. E. Cummings, head of the company’s hotel department, who also visited Baltimore and Washington; C. W. Burnham, in charge of sales promotion; W. Ferguson, head of the department store division, and A. K. Hills, of the sales promotion department. One of the new Oneida features which is making a decided hit is the Early American table in mahogany, which not only makes a handsome repository for the table silver but can also be used for tea or cards. The table is a reproduction of a beautiful specimen in the Metropolitan Museum, New York.

A. N. R. J. A. Convention - St. Louis - 1924
Oneida Community, Ltd., Oneida N. Y.
One of the very attractive and interesting hooths in the exhibit hall was that of the Oneida Community, Ltd., Oneida, N. ¥, Handsomely decorated with blue velvet and cut flowers the space was a fit setting for the display of Oneida silver. Large and small assortments of their various patterns were shown in cases. Both the Community and Tudor plates were shown and their new line of sets for babies, shown in both grades, met special favor from the jewelers. An original drawing, hand-painted and lettered, of their new booklet which will soon be sent to the trade was on display. It is entitled, “When Cinderella Dined With the Prince,’ and this little book is going to meet with a hearty welcome by mothers who want their children to have the best manners both at home and when visiting. Many of those at the convention appreciated the opportunity of meeting B. L. Dunn, who is responsible for the wonderful advertising that has made Community silver so popular. Others present and representing the company were “Pete" Mason, “Dill” Collins and J. N. Mills.

Re: Information Regarding Oneida Community Ltd.
The Oneida Community, Ltd., makers of the famous Community Plate, plans to take the fullest advantage of the Spring selling season by staging a gigantic nation-wide newspaper advertising campaign from May 16 to May 29. This campaign will utilize six dominant page advertisements in the newspapers of the 81 largest cities in the United States. This Community campaign, which takes place during the last two weeks of May, will consist of a series of six striking advertisements in dominating space. ach of these advertisements features a reproduction of an original Coles Phillips painting and reminds the housewife in a subtle but effective way that now is the time to replenish her silverware, or to make a selection for gift purposes. The Community Plate buffet service for six persons forms the keynote of the campaign, and is illustrated in effective fashion in each advertisement. Men, too, it is expected, will be impressed by this strong series of advertisements no less than their wives or mothers or sisters, for the advertisements strongly stress the advantages of the new Community stainless steel knives. A table knife that will really cut and which is unstainable is something that the American husband has been wanting for many years. The series of Community advertisements will take full advantage of this situation and will exploit it in every possible way. The close proximity of this campaign to the time of June Brides makes it a particularly potent factor in influencing sales of Community Silver.
