Back to the original matter. Sometimes, actually very often, it is difficult to gather information regarding imperial Russian silversmiths. The reason is very simple. Just before the turn of the century 1800-1900, the Russian authorities made a rather crazy decision and ordered to destroy several hundreds of thousands of ancient and old documents of registered silversmiths and their work etc.. According to the authorities, such documentation is unnecessary and only occupying place in the archives, and then they just burned them!

The only thing I know about Viktor Ivanovich Flinck is that he owned a jewelery establishment 1897-1917. The location in 1898 was Gazetny lane in a building belonging to the Uspenski church in Moscow. In addition to the mark ВФ he also used the initials ВИФ.
