At the annual meeting of the board of directors of the St. Louis Convention and Publicity Bureau at the Missouri Athletic Association, Thursday, Goodman King, former president of the Mermod, Jaccard & King Jewelry Co., retired from the presidency of the bureau, which he had served in that capacity for ten years. By unanimous vote a committee was appointed to draft resolutions of thanks and appreciation of his efficient and earnest services. He will continue as a director of the organization. Mr. King's report stated that in the past three and a half years the bureau had brought 600 conventions to St. Louis, with an attendance of nearly 300,000 delegates and visitors, who were estimated to have left in the city more than $10,000,000.
