Please help me identify my tea set.

Post by Ann Kelly »

I have a tea set that I would like help with identifying maker and date. The four pieces all have the marks on the bottom like your site shows for J. Trostup of Olso, except mine don't have his name in the box. These pieces have 830 S in the box instead. Also, the two pots with hinged lids have a flower bud (almost egg shaped with vertical lines) on a stem with two leaves on the lid. The pieces are a sugar bowl, a creamer, both with no lids, a teapot with hinged lid and what appears to be a coffee pot with hinged lid. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

the name in a box is not a must.
With 830 it is most likely that it is norwegian.
A picture might help to identify, but as already written name in box is not a must.

I have successfully posted pictures of my tea set...
I'm sorry they are so big, I haven't learned how to crop them yet! Please let me know if you have any other info about these pieces. Also, what is the finneal supposed to be ? A flower bud or ? And, am I missing any pieces? Thank you!

I'm trying to find makers name, approximate date, and style or pattern name. Any info is appreciated.

I have many pieces made in Norway. Jewelry, silverware, serving pieces and candlesticks. Many different names. I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me dates or pattern name. Thank you.

Hello Anne.

I think we have a couple of members that could help you.
Post your items one at a time in appropriate catagories such as jewelry.
Be patient, sometimes it takes a couple of days to get a reply.

Pat.
