Is really "dutch silver" or just silverplate?

Hi, I have this candlestick. On the bottom there are marks " 210 FMK & CO DUTCH SILVER".
But is really silver or is just a trademark?Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I wish to learn the origin of these marks and where it's from.

It is likely 'Dutch Silver' in this case is a euphemism for 'Not silver', similar to German Silver or Nevada Silver.

It is a piece of American silverplate dating to c.1900-15. I don't know the maker F.M.K. & Co., but have seen other pieces by them marked "Sheffield". In this case, both "Dutch Silver" & "Sheffield" would be names of lines that the company produced.
