I have bought 4 German table spoons recently (1900-1910). One is marked as 800 silver, the others are not. 3 have the same markers mark (the 800 is one of them). all 4 spoons are engraved with flowers.
Is there a reason why the 3 spoons have no sing of silver purity? They look like pure silver spoons to me. The engravings are quite deep, so i guess they are definitely not plated.
Hello, the set was most likely assembled over a period of time. The spoon without halfmoon/crown etc. is simply older and was made before 1888. I am a little sceptical whether this is Spliedt. The mark is to "short" for that. No idea though who else it might have been. Best wishes, Bahner
